Cru Juliénas has been working on enhancing our value and highlighting single vineyard cuvées since 2017. The aim is to further pinpoint Cru Juliénas’s characteristics, not only generally, but also in relation to the different terroirs and lieux-dits or named areas, giving added value on the crop declaration.

The terroirs of Juliénas, with their sun drenched slopes made up of granite, schist and a touch of clay, make an ideal home for the Beaujolais grape variety Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc.
These terroirs give a hearty, vibrant, rounded well-built wine in a deep ruby robe. Juliénas may be enjoyed in its youth but requires a few years’ cellaring to hone its subtle aromas of peony, violet, cinnamon and small red and black berry fruit.
